02-05 February 2019 | Luxembourg City
The 3rd Annual Conference of NEUBIAS, gathering the whole BioImage Analysis Community into a multi-faceted event, offers two parallel Training Schools for selected early career and advanced analysts and a Working Meeting (Taggathon) for invited taggers.
March 2019 | IGC - Lisbon
1st seminar of a series being organised by the UIC: Advanced Imaging Facility team in 2019 for new users that aim to learn the basics of image analysis and processing, which will cover the basics of ImageJ/Fiji interface and usage, image filtering and enhancement, creating and processing image masks, working with pixels and objects and exploring some techniques for analysis and feature extraction and a quick introduction to ImageJ macro language.
27-31 May 2019 | i3S, Porto
Fundamentally practical, this course aims introducing the participants in experimental design, image acquisition, image, and data analysis for high throughput (HT) experiments. These are essential skills when generating a massive amount of imaged-based data in the biosciences field. Lectures will be given by specialists in the field and participants will learn how to use state of the art technology for HT experimentation and open-source software for image and data analysis. Attendants will get acquainted with use of automated liquid handling equipment and high content (HC) imagers such as IN Cell Analyzer (HCS microscope) and ImageStream (imaging flow cytometer). Interaction with HTS/HCS specialists will be fostered due to the restricted amount of participants.
FEES:

14-17 October 2019 | IBMC/i3S and INESC TEC, Porto
Dear Bioimaging colleague,
NEUBIAS, the Network of European BioImage Analysts (www.neubias.org), is delighted to announce two new Training Schools on BioImage Analysis:
The focus of the trainings will be on construction and automation of BioImage Analysis workflows, using as examples more than one toolbox and different exercises. The schools will be held in Porto, 14-17th of October 2019, hosted by IBMC/i3S and INESC TEC
NEUBIAS schools are an excellent opportunity to learn from many experts in Bioimage Analysis (we are expecting >20 specialists at the event) and “…a great mix of intensive learning and community networking” (former trainee testimonial!). The schools will include practical sessions and seminars on ImageJ for analysis and publication, scripting/macros in ImageJ and Python and session on ethics in image analysis and “work on own data”.
Within the COST framework (funders of NEUBIAS), we will offer up to 7 travel grants per school to applicants who qualify.
