23-25 June 2021 | Aveiro - Portugal
The tenth edition of the Iberian Conference on Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, IbPRIA 2021, will be held in Aveiro (Portugal), June 23-25, 2021.
IbPRIA is an international conference co-organised by the Portuguese APRP and Spanish AERFAI chapters of the IAPR International Association for Pattern Recognition. IbPRIA-2021 is technically endorsed by the IAPR.
IbPRIA is a single track conference consisting of high quality, previously unpublished papers, presented either orally or as a poster, intended to act as a forum for research groups, engineers and practitioners to present recent results, algorithmic improvements and promising future directions in pattern recognition and image analysis.
All accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings, and will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series.
The following awards will be given at IbPRIA 2021: IAPR Best Student paper award (+ additional honorable mention), AERFAI PhD Award 2020-21, and APRP PhD Prize 2020-21.

The new Portuguese Platform of BioImaging (PPBI) Node is a multi-sited, multimodal Node covering biological imaging.
PPBI represents the national biological microscopy imaging community of Portugal. It consists of 14 facilities, which are split into 3 geographical clusters, and are currently coordinated by the IBMC (Instituto de Biologia Molecular e Celular) in Porto.
PPBI services focus on advanced microscopy and image data analysis for a wide range of life science domains - from cell and developmental biology, to neurosciences, oncobiology, immunology, infection, and regenerative medicine.
"Since May 2016, Euro-BioImaging has enjoyed a successful interim operation; offering life scientists open access to imaging services across its 29 Nodes Candidates throughout Europe. The next step is ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) status, and this will be launched with at least 15 founding members: Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland (the legal host), France, Hungary, Israel, Italy (site of the Med Hub), Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, UK and the intergovernmental organisation, EMBL (site of the Bio Hub). Belgium will participate as an observer while Poland, and Spain are preparing for their participation in the near future. With their commitment, the founding members demonstrate imaging research as a national priority for at least the next five years, thereby supporting scientific flexibility and excellence across Europe."
