Confocal Microscopes
Zeiss LSM 510 META - Inverted laser scanning confocal microscope, equipped with:
- A vast range of high power lasers available from violet to far red (405, 458, 488, 514, 561 and 633nm excitation wavelengths);
- A small incubator system for CO2/temperature control for microscopy of living cells;

Has a META detector that can be used for spectral detection of fluorochromes, and subsequent linear unmixing of overlapping fluorescent staining (although at a lower sensitivity than its other two PMT detectors).
Widefield Microscopes
Olympus IX-81 - motorized inverted widefield epifluorescence microscope equipped with:
- A CCD monochromatic digital camera that offers two modes of operation: widefield transmitted light (BF and PhC) and widefield fluorescence [U-MWU (DAPI); U-MWB (GFP); U-MWG (TRITC)];
- The software fully controls the microscope and the camera, allowing the acquisition of multidimensional images (multi-channel).
Nikon Eclipse Ti-U - inverted widefield epifluorescence microscope equipped with:
