The CQFM node is specialized in quantitative imaging. The node houses a Leica TCS-SP5 inverted laser scanning confocal microscope, with spectral detection and six laser lines available for excitation (458, 465, 488, 496, 514, and 633 nm). The unit also integrates a Ti:Saphire pulsed laser (710-990 nm, 100 fs, 80 MHz) and 2 APD detectors. 

This unit is equipped for a multitude of different fluorescent imaging applications, including: 

- Colocalization of fluorescent molecules, 3D sectioning/reconstruction, FRET, Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP);

- Spectral imaging;

- Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) and FLIM-FRET;

- Two-photon excitation microscopy;

- Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS).

The CQFM node also offers expertise in sample preparation, live/fixed sample imaging, as well as in development of data analysis solutions for imaging projects. An on-site cell culture facility is available.
